At Home in Djurgarden. Although easily reachable from Stockholm by foot, car and tram, we headed to Djurgarden by ferry from Gamla Stan one Saturday for a hearty walk through its beautiful Royal Djurgarden park. In addition to mansions of the royal kind, the island has some charming residential areas sprinkled throughout. And the island is home to several notable museums (such as the Nordiska Museet) and the amusement park, Grona Lund. Photo Essay: Stockholm, Sweden, Midsummer 2014 bycswhite
